Here is cool night dive at a local night dive spot. It was filmed inside the Redondo submarine canyon just off the beach. Filmed on 12-07-06. We were looking for squid and eggs (spawning) as it can be somewhat common here in the winter months. We found only a small patch of eggs and no squid to be found. We did see the usual assortment of critters including a couple of larger Thornback rays, a cusk eel, and a few species of crabs, and an octopus with a home built from trash. It's an interesting ecosystem and an easy (and deeper) shore dive.
